If you have not gotten your influenza vaccine, please call the office and get scheduled. We have a nurse clinic schedule set aside and dedicated to influenza vaccinations. The medical director at North Florida Regional Medical Center informed the staff last Thursday that our community has already had confirmed cases of influenza. This is unusual; flu season usually starts after Christmas. Additional Dr. Parra said that the patients who have BOTH influenza and COVID have a much more severe course and have required hospitalization.
We have regular dose influenza vaccines and the high-dose vaccines indicated for patients over the age of 65. Your insurance will cover vaccinations.
Everything we can do to help you all stay safe and healthy is our mission.
